Where we ship

Hark Handmade currently ships within New Zealand only.

Shipping to Australia and international destinations is planned for 2026.

All prices are listed in New Zealand dollars and include GST.

Dispatch timeframes

Orders are usually dispatched within 2–4 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

During limited releases or peak periods, dispatch times may be slightly longer. Any delays will be communicated via email.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking details.

Delivery timeframes

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and begin once your order has been collected by the courier.

  • North Island: 1–3 business days

  • South Island: 2–5 business days

  • Rural delivery: Please allow an additional 1–2 business days

Courier delays, weather events, and seasonal congestion are outside our control.

Shipping rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the delivery address, size, and weight of your order.

Indicative rates:

  • North Island: from $10–15

  • South Island: from $15–25

  • Rural delivery: additional charge applies

If an item is oversized, unusually heavy, or requires custom packing, the rates stated above might vary - the product page will reflect that so no surprises!

Packaging and fragile items

Hark Handmade pieces are delicate, sculptural, one-off objects.

All items are carefully wrapped and packaged to minimise movement during transit. While every effort is made to ensure safe delivery, responsibility for the parcel transfers to the courier once dispatched.

If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, including photographs of the packaging and the item, so we can assist.

Returns & Exchanges

Change of mind

Due to the handmade and artistic nature of each piece, we do not offer returns or exchanges for change-of-mind purchases.

Please choose carefully and contact us prior to purchasing if you need additional details, measurements, or photographs.

Faulty or damaged items

If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery by email.

Where a fault is confirmed, we will offer one of the following, depending on availability:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • Refund of the purchase price

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is proven faulty.

Returns process

Any approved returns must be:

  • Confirmed via email prior to return

  • Returned in original packaging where possible

  • Sent back within 7 days of approval

Returned items are the responsibility of the customer until safely received.

Sale items

All sale items are final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.

Caring for Your Botanicals

Hark Handmade botanicals are delicate, sculptural objects and should be handled with care. Stems are top heavy and are best displayed in a sturdy, weighty vase or one with a narrow neck for support. These pieces are not suitable for water.

To preserve colour and finish, avoid placing your botanical in direct or prolonged full sunlight, as fading may occur over time.

If dust settles on the piece, gently blow the dust off. Please do not wipe or rub the beads with cloths, sprays, or cleaning products, as beads and finishes can be damaged by friction and chemicals.

Keep away from children and pets.

  • All Hark sculptures are packaged with care. We aim to use recyclable or compostable packaging materials wherever possible. Each item is packed to resist damage in transit. We can’t guarantee completely safe passage because couriers are wild! If you have any issues with the state of your delivery please let us know immediately!

  • Please choose your artwork carefully as we do not accept returns. All items are final sale. We do not provide refunds on change of mind purchases either. You’re purchasing a piece of unique, one-off art so we hope returns aren’t necessary.

  • We take special care to check your purchases thoroughly for any faults before delivering to you. As these are decorative items they’re not created to withstand ANY rough handling.

    As all Hark sculptures are hand-made no two items are identical. Hark pieces are made using bead weaving techniques which leave intentionally exposed wires and have variations in colour, size and shape.
