• Work is released in small batches and occasional collections and at some events throughout the year.

To hear about upcoming releases, join the mailing list or follow @hark_handmade.

Commissions are re-opening in May 2026, but please get in touch to secure your commission spot in advance. Accompanying images (flower photos from life or online) are super helpful. You can also look at my Flower Archive page for inspiration. Please email hollie@harkhandmade.com or fill in the contact form to discuss your idea.

  • All prices are listed in New Zealand dollars and include GST.

Each piece is carefully prepared in the studio before it leaves, so please allow 2–4 business days for dispatch, unless the work is listed as a pre-order.

During limited releases or busier periods, dispatch may take a little longer. If so, I’ll always keep you in the loop via email.

Once your order is on its way, you’ll receive tracking details.

  • Hark Handmade pieces are delicate, sculptural objects, each one slightly different.

Every order is wrapped carefully to minimise movement in transit. That said, small shifts can happen, petals may soften or move slightly. This is completely normal. You can gently reshape your piece on arrival and let it settle into its final form.

Once your parcel has been dispatched, it is in the hands of the courier, but if anything arrives damaged, please email within 48 hours with photos of both the item and packaging so I can help.

  • Change of Mind

As each piece is handmade and often one of a kind, I’m unable to offer returns or exchanges for change of mind.

If you’re unsure about a piece, feel free to get in touch before purchasing. I’m always happy to share additional images or details.

    Damaged or Faulty Items

If something isn’t right, please email within 48 hours of delivery.

Where a fault is confirmed, I will offer one of the following:
    – Repair
    – Replacement (if possible)
    – Refund

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty.

    Approved Returns

    If a return is agreed:
    – It must be confirmed via email first
    – Items should be returned in original packaging where possible
    – Sent within 7 days of approval

The item remains your responsibility until it safely arrives back at the studio.

    Sale Works

    All sale pieces are final.

  • These works are designed as sculptural objects rather than functional florals.

    – Best displayed in a stable, weighty vase or one with a narrow neck
    – Not suitable for water
    – Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour
    – To clean, gently blow away dust (no wiping or sprays)
    – Keep away from children and pets

Each piece is intentionally a little unruly. You’re encouraged to shape and adjust it until it feels right in your space.

  • Yes, I occasionally loan pieces for styling, photography, and creative projects.

Email hollie@harkhandmade.com with details of your project.

  • Each Hark Handmade piece is created as a lasting object.

Working with glass, metal, and fibre, materials are selected for their strength, longevity, and ability to be reworked over time. The process is intentionally slow and small-scale, with careful attention given to how materials are used and preserved.

There is no mass production, only considered making.

Packaging is kept minimal and, where possible, recyclable or compostable.

These works are made to endure, to be reshaped, repositioned, and lived with, becoming part of a space rather than passing through it.

  • I receive a lot of retail partnership requests, all of which are hugely appreciated. Due to the handmade and time-intensive nature of the work, not all of these requests are achievable. Specific varieties of botanical may be appropriate for some retail settings.

If you’re a retailer or gallery interested in stocking Hark Handmade, please email hollie@harkhandmade.com or fill in the contact form.

  • Hark Handmade is open to a limited number of collaborations with brands, designers and creative studios.

This has included in the past bespoke pieces, editorial work, installations, or projects that align with the materiality and sculptural nature of the work.

If you have a project in mind, please email hollie@harkhandmade.com or fill in the contact form.
